Workshop — Embroidery Basics $60

  • The Eco Flamingo Sustainability Center 4756 North Rockwell Street Chicago, IL, 60625 United States (map)

Get ready to channel your inner grandma through embroidery with Heidy from Girl and the Hoop! This workshop is designed to introduce you to an art form that will help you slow down and reconnect with yourself and nature. We’ll cover embroidery basics and practice different stitch types. All materials are included and you’ll get the kit to finish at home!

Girl and the Hoop is a one-woman-Latina-owned-small business based out of Chicago. I create nature inspired embroidery art and Eco-Friendly Embroidery kits.

For Heidy, embroidery is a meditative art form that helped her slow down, reduce distractions and focus during a very stressful time in her career. It reconnected her to her childhood and the strong women in her life who crocheted, mended clothes, embroidered and nurtured the idea that slow is GOOD. She now spreads this wonderful art to others!

Snacks and drinks provided and get 10% off at The Eco Flamingo the day of the workshop!
